No ‘privatisation’ of power sector

Chandigarh, April 17
The Chief Minister held a meeting with representatives of the Council of Junior Engineers PSEB here today wherein Anurag Aggarwal, Chairman, Managing Committee, Er KD Chaudhary and RP Pandov, Chief, IR&W were also present. Er Swarn Lal, president, and Er Davinder Singh, general secretary, jointly stated that the CM had assured the deputation of JEs’ council that there would be no privatisation of the power board.

It was also assured that there would be no change in the service conditions and benefits available to employees. Further, a four-member panel was constituted to sort out all contentions issues of employees and their pending demands, which would also work out a triparitite agreement between employees, including JEs’ council. Keeping in view assurances given at the meeting, the council has decided to postpone its agitation programme. — TNS
