More than seven months have been passed the promotions of AEEs to Sr. Xens have been delayed. Earlier it was stated that there is some confusion regarding sanctioned posts of sr. Xens in PSTCL. Due to personal efforts of some individual AEEs matter was resolved. When it was hoped that now promotions will be done, Engineer associations raised issue that Diploma Holder engineers should be promoted after some gap than the Degree/AMIE holder engineers, resulting stoppage of promotion of about 60 nos. engineer.

While going through the data base it has been revealed that there are only 9 no. diploma engineer eligible for promotion of Sr. Xen before the batch of 2007 recruitee engineers. 8 out 9 diploma engineer will retire within one year (some one within month or two) before 2007 batch will eligible for promotion. For the sake of one diploma engineer promotion of more than 60 engineers is held up. It is requested to work out practical solution for the promotion of AEEs to Sr. Xens to avoid the resentment among the engineers.
