PSEB Engineers wants PSEB management to declare their ACR’s null and void

ROPAR: PSEB Engineers Association has requested the PSEB management to declare null and void all the annual confidential reports written by last General Manager of the thermal plant.

A general body meeting of PSEB ENGINEERS of GGSSTP Region was held here today to discuss the situation arising out of downgrading. ACRs of engineers by outgoing General Manager of thermal plant who retired on May 31 this year. Inderjit Singh Regional Secretary of the Association said that previous GM wrote the ACR’s on May 27 three days before his retirement although he was suppose to do the work before April 30 as per boards order. Moreover the term of reviewing officer was expiring on May 3. SC Chabba Sr. Vice President of the Association said that the late submission of ACRs was done with the malafide intention, He further said that in case of all the engineers whose ACRs have been downgraded by the previous General Manager, there has been a sudden dip in performance for this year as the engineers have been consistently earning very good grades for almost all the previous years. Thus the taint of malafide flies in face of ACRs written this year. The engineers had earlier written to board management in advance about their apprehensions. The reviewing officer has suitably moderated the assessment yet the marks by reporting officer has resulted in overall down grading. The engineers feel that their overriding priority to ensure uninterrupted operation of the plant has been construed to be their weakness they have not been properly heard in this matter. The engineers reiterated their resolve to continue social boycott of outgoing GM and also reiterated their action plan to show black flags to him when he leaves this campus.
