RTP engineers to protest their downgrading of ACR’s

Ropar: The engineers working at Ropar Thermal Plant has decided to hold gate rallies for one hour everyday from Saturday to protest against downgrading of their ACR’s.

PSEB Engineers Association has written today a letter to Chairman of Board requesting him to declare all the ACRs written by the last GM of plant for the year 2008-09 as null and void and also initiates suitable disciplinary action against him.

According to sources, PSEB management has desired that all individual sufferers should give their individual representation for the consideration of board but engineers want that board should take action sue motto.

The engineers has sought information under RTI act and the information obtained through RTI has established a clear trend that all the active members of association known for their competence and sincerity, have become victims of personal bias of retired GM of plant. GM in patently illegal exercise of power based upon personal bias and prejudices chose to write the ACRs after three months and just two days before his retirement, Inderjit Singh Regional Secretary of association said.

Earlier PSEB Engineers Association while handing over their memorandum signed by more than 135 engineers of thermal plant in March this year had expressed their fears about spoiling of their ACR’s to Chairman and Member Generation. At that time management had assured them that this would not happen.
