Alleging ‘downgrading’ of ACRs, engineers of Ropar thermal plant to launch agitation'

Ropar The engineers employed with the Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant, Ropar, would launch an agitation from August 1 to protest against the alleged downgrading of their Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) by the outgoing general manager of the plant.
PSEB Engineers’ Association regional secretary Inderjit Singh Ghotra has alleged that general manager K K Sood acted in a “biased manner” in downgrading the ACRs of office bearers and members of the association.

Ghotra made a special mention of Rajinder Saini , an engineer with the Coal Handling Plant and member of the executive committee of PSEB Engineers’ Association. Saini, said the regional secretary, was given a poor score for his efforts.

He said the engineers would hold rallies outside the plant for an hour, each day starting from August 1.
