PSEB to constitute three-member moderation committee on ACR’s issue

Ropar: PSEB has agreed to constitute a committee of three Chief Engineers to scrutinize the ACR’s of engineers of Ropar Thermal Plant. An emergency meeting of the general body of engineers of Ropar thermal plant was held here today and discussed the new development.

The engineers have deferred the ongoing agitation for a month. The engineers of plant had been agitating and holding rally for one hour daily for last ten days against downgrading of their ACR’s by the last General Manager of plant on the basis of personnel bias.

Board management has assured the engineers that moderation committee would look in to whole episode and would take remedial measures.

The engineers resolved that in case bias is established, which appeared clearly on the face of whole exercise of writing of ACRs, action as per codal regulations should be taken against outgoing GM for misusing his authority.

The engineers lauded efforts of Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Advisor to CM, for showing concern and securing effective intervention.
