On call of the Punjab State Electricity Board Officers and Employees Co-ordination Committee, a rally was organised before main gate of the Ropar Thermal Power Plant from 12 noon to 2 pm.

Around 1,000 officers and employees, from unskilled workers to deputy chief engineers working in the thermal plant participated to protest against delay in implementation of Wage Formulation Committee (WFC) report, which has been submitted to the board in last week of August this year.

Senior vice president, PSEB Engineers' Association, SC Chabba, president of the PSEB Employees Federation GGSSTP Harmesh Dhiman, president of the RTP Employees Union BS Saini and leaders of other associate unions spoke at the rally. — TNS
