PSEB employees may get new pay scales on Thursday

CHANDIGARH: PSEB may finally resolve the issue relating to implementation of wage formulation committee report in its next board meeting to be held on Thursday.

The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had asked the state finance department on October 2 to resolve the issue relating to the release of new pay scales to the employees of PSEB after meeting a delegation of PSEB Engineers Association.

A delegation of PSEB Engineers met the finances secretary on Monday and explained their viewpoint on the new pay scales.

According to sources this crucial board meeting may take a final decision on the recommendations but the outcome will rest on the stand to be taken by governments representative in boards meeting.

All the employees unions are keeping their fingers crossed about the outcome of the meeting. It may be mentioned that all the employees had earlier held rallies on October 1 to protest against the delay in implementation of wage formulation committee report.
