Virender Singh sworn in as PSERC Member

Chandigarh: Virender Singh was sworn in as Member of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission today.

Virender Singh was administered the oath of office by Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister All the members of PSERC including Jai Singh Gill Chairman ,S S Paul Member and Namita Sekhoan Secretary were present on the occasion. From PSEB side all the three technical members K D Chudhary. BS Sra and Sabharwal were present.

Punjab Government had appointed Virender Singh a retired PSEB Engineer-in –chief as new Member of PSERC for a period of five years from date of joining. He retired from PSEB as Engineer-in-chief on December 31 2007.

A graduate of Thapar Engineering College Patiala, he joined PSEB in 1973. He rendered service in Generation, Transmission & Distribution systems of PSEB with credit to initiate managerial and technical reforms throughout career.
