Record generation at Lehra power plant

The Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant, Lehra Mohabbat, achieved the highest-ever daily gener- ation of 228.6 lakh units on Thursday. Punjab State Electricity Board Member G.S. Sra said the generation was achieved at a plant load factor of 103 per cent, the highest in the board's history.
A plant load factor is a meas- ure of average capacity utili- sation. The PSEB plans to build up 20 days' coal stock at its plants before the paddy season. At present, the Lehra and Bathinda plants have a coal stock for 12 days, while the Ropar plant has a stock for 17 days.
