Lehra Mohabatt Thermal Plant sets new monthly plant load factor record

BATHINDA: Lehra Mohabbat Thermal Plant stage 1 units comprising of 2 units of 210 MW each set a new monthly generation record with 102.58 percent Plant Load Factor during Feb. 2010.

G S Chhabra General Manager of the plant said that plant load factor achieved by stage 1 units is highest so far amongst all the three thermal plants of Punjab. The previous highest monthly PLF was 102.10 % which was also set by this plant during Oct.2008.

Chhabra further said that record highest generation of 104.87 Lac Units in a day was achieved on February 26 this year. It may be mentioned that stage-II consisting of 2 units of 250 MW also generated highest generation of 124.84 LU in a day and plant as a whole recorded its highest generation of 229.69 LU on February 19 this year.

It may be mentioned here that yearly plant load factor of Lehra Thermal Plant during the last three years is of the order of 95 percent which is highest amongst Punjab thermal Plants.
