Spoiled ACRs of Ropar Thermal engineers upgraded

ROPAR: The Annual Confidential Reports of Ropar Thermal Plant engineers which were spoiled by the then outgoing General Manager of the plant have been upgraded by the three member committee of board.

As per information obtained under the RTI Act three member moderation committee comprising of Member Generation , Engineer –in- chief Technical Audit and Chief Engineer South Zone in its meeting held in December last finalized the quantum of benefit to be given to those engineers of Ropar Thermal Plant and South Zone whose ACR’s were spoiled .

According to information received ACR’s of 42 engineers have been upgraded. Few RTP engineers feel that their ACR’s has not been touched by the committee.

It may be mentioned that PSEB Engineers’ Association of the Ropar Thermal Plant had expressed anguish over the ‘tinkering’ of ACRs of engineers by the outgoing general manager of the thermal plant K K Sood who retired on May 31 last.

Engineers had launched a protest last year against lowering of their ACR’s despite a submission of mass memorandum by RTP engineers to the Board management requesting to restrain the general manager from writing ACRs for this year.
