7% Dearness allowance for PSEB employees

PATIALA: Punjab State Electricity Board has decided to give 7 % dearness allowance (DA) to its employees from July 2007.

Spokesman of PSEB said on Friday that DA form July 2007 to December 2007 will be deposited in General provident Fund (GPF) and will be given cash from January 2008 salary.

Meanwhile said that board has tied up with Vodafone for corporate connection to PSEB employees which may result into saving of Rs.2.5crores annually.

Board has been able to get same last five digits of mobile numbers, as were being used earlier, from Vodafone whereas the first five digits shall now change from 98725 to 96461. The earlier Airtel numbers shall stop working from 3rd January onwards.
