Jagvir Goyal honoured by Finance Minister on Independence day

Patiala: Jagvir Goyal, Deputy Chief Engineer Civil in Powercom was honoured by Finance Minister, Punjab on August 15, 2010 at Patiala during Independence day celebrations for his contribution in his field and for many books and hundreds of articles written by him in the papers on housing and construction for the benefit of people.

Manpreet Singh Badal awarded a trophy and commendation certificate to him in recognition of the work done by him. He is the second t engineer after RS Sohal General Manager Ropar thermal from the erstwhile PSEB and now Powercom to be honoured during Independence Day celebrations.

Jagvir Goyal has been writing technical articles on civil engineering in the major english newspaper of Punjab. He has written more than 150 articles. By now, 10 books written by him on technical and general subjects have been published. . His weekly column, 'Racy Building Strategies' in Hindustan Times and fortnightly column 'Ground Reality' in The Tribune are quite popylar.

He was awarded by Thapar University with Distinguished Alumni Award for the year 2005.
