Power sector is the most vibrant sector - Mr Shinde

Mr Sushilkumar Shinde union minister of power called upon the youth to devote themselves to the cause of nation building. He said that the power sector shall provide tremendous job opportunities for the youth being the most vibrant sector of the economy.
Addressing the young engineers of NTPC at the inaugural of Induction Program of Executive Trainee 2010 in New Delhi, he said that joining the premier power company of the country is an opportunity to contribute to achieve the national target of Power for All by 2012
The batch consists of 374 trainees from the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation and Civil engineering selected through campus recruitment from premier institutes of the country. The batch has 47 lady engineers and is diverse in all respects representing a Mini India with trainees from nearly all states of the country.
Mr Bharatsinh Solanki union minister of state for power, compared the bright young engineers joining NTPC to Gems and urged them to be part of the national movement to serve the nation.
NTPC is India’s largest power generation company with an installed capacity of 32,194 MW. The company has presently over 17,000 MW capacities under construction at 17 locations and plans to become a 75 GW company by 2017.
