Rohtak: Haryana Power Engineers Association has condemned the Haryana Governments proposal of appointing retired directors as advisors while keeping posts of directors vacant.
R S Dahiya President of association said that two posts of Directors are lying vacant in Discoms for the last one months and the Government has not made any move to fill these cadre posts. Instead of filling up vacant posts, Haryana Govt. is appointing retired Director from DHBVN as Advisor to look after the work of franchise and operation in Power Utilities and shall exercise all powers of Director.
Similarly one post of Chief of Operation in HPGCL is being hold by a retired Director of HPGCL since last more than 7 years. If this post is so much important, Government should made it as cadre post.
Dahiya further said that Directors of power utilities are being side lined by appointing retired persons as Advisor giving them all Power/facilities of Directors leaving the senior most engineers in lurch. Thus senior in service officers are denied their right to promotions.
Dahiya further said that issues like restructuring of cadre and removal of pay anomalies are pending for last so many years but Government is not serious to settle these issues. Even the existing parity with other departments is not being restored, he lamented
