Zora Singh Brar dead

Zora Singh Brar, former Chairman of the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board, passed away at a private hospital at Mohali today. He was 78.
A close associate of the late Giani Zail Singh, he belonged to Bathinda district but had settled at Patiala after becoming the Chairman of the board in the 1970s. He also remained the Chairman of the PRTC for some time. Giving information with regard to Brar's passing away, Birdevinder Singh, former Joint Director (Sports) of the PSEB, said the deceased had suffered a paralytic stroke a few days ago. He was admitted to a private hospital at Mohali where he breathed his last. Brar was a son of a freedom fighter who was close to Zail Singh's family. His body will be cremated tomorrow at Patiala. — TNS
