Senior bureaucrats in race for PSERC Chairman
The present Chief Secretary SC Aggarwal, Financial Commissioner Romila Dubey and SS Brar are amongst those bureaucrats, who are strong contenders for the post of Chairman, PSERC. The present member of commission SS Paul is retiring on February 10.

SENIOR BUREAUCRATS are in race for the posts of Chairman of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission while senior technocrats are vying for the post of member, which shall be falling vacant soon.
The race has begun in right earnest now after the expiry of last date for submission of applications on Monday. Top bureaucrats of state have applied for the post of Chairman of commission which will fall vacant on January 20, after the retirement of present incumbent Jai Singh Gill.
The present Chief Secretary SC Aggarwal, Financial Commissioner Romila Dubey and SS Brar are amongst those bureaucrats, who are strong contenders for the post of Chairman, PSERC. The present member of commission SS Paul, who is retiring on February 10 is also one of the contenders.
There are around 30 applicants for the post of Member which is falling vacant on February 10. A numbers of PSEB/Powercom Chief Engineers have applied for the post.
SS Walia, Advisor, Power with Punjab Government , Suresh Singla , who earlier worked in the commission as Chief Engineer and KK Singla Chief Engineer( Retd), who was earlier short listed for the post of Director, commercial are amongst the front runners for the post.. A serving member is also a strong contender for the post.
