CHANDIGARH:

The Haryana power utilities would develop an online system to redress the grievances of electricity consumers.
Power minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said on Tuesday that if a consumer was not satisfied with the action taken on a grievance, a complaint can be sent on his official e-mail address, [email protected].
He further said that the objective for developing an online system was to ensure prompt redressal of consumer grievances and make officials accountable.

Notably, some time back, chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda too had thought of such an einitiative but never bothered to check his e-mail account.

Senior officers of power utilities would review the action taken on the complaints on fortnightly basis. The director, power reforms, will create consumer complaint cell. HTC
