He moved to BBMB after his promotion as Chief Engineer and was posted at Nangal to look after the Generation of Hydro electric project.
The post was lying vacant after the retirement of NK Arora in November last.PSEB had sent a panel of three engineers for the post
Meanwhile the present term of Member Generation G S Sra and Member Transmission SC Sabharwal of PSEB ends this week.
Punjab Government is likely to take decision on new members after the election process is over. According to sources both members are trying hard for their third term but one member is quite sure to clinch the issue. Today is practically last working day for both the members as next three days are holidays.
Senior engineers of PSEB maintain that there is no dearth of talent amongst senior Chief Engineers. Most of them have the requisite experience of generation and transmission works. According to them seniority cum merit should be the criteria for selection of these posts.
As per PSEB’s seniority list Suresh Singla, IS Anand, GS Chhabra, BS Bath and MS Dua are next in line for selection. There may be some retired PSEB Chief Engineers also in race for these posts.
