RTP engineers seek details of their spoiled ACR’s under RTI act

ROPAR: PSEB Engineers worst apprehensions have come true when many engineers came to know through sources that their ACR’s for the last financial year has been underrated or spoiled by KK Sood outgoing General Manager of Ropar Thermal Plant

PSEB Engineers working in Ropar Thermal Plant in a meeting held decided to seek the details of their ACR’s under right of information act as the annual confidential report of number of engineers have been spoiled by outgoing General Manager on personal grounds.

PSEB Engineers of thermal plant in the emergency meeting condemned the alleged action of outgoing General Manager K.K.Sood whereby he intentionally delayed the writing of ACRs of engineers almost to the last day of his retirement.

The engineers in the meeting took strong exception to the indicative reports suggesting that Er.Sood has underrated/spoiled ACRs of many engineers of exceptional capability & competence on malafide grounds The annual reports have been written not on basis of performance of engineers but on personal grounds.

Earlier last month more than 135 engineers had brought to the notice of PSEB management in writing about the working of GM of plant whose prime aim was to evade responsibility. Engineers had requested the PSEB management to restrain the outgoing GM from writing the ACR’s of engineers as he was openly threatening the engineers that he would spoil their careers.

The engineer who used to get very good reports through out their careers have been given below average report. The maximum affected are the Superintending Engineers whose reports have been initiated by the GM. Even in case of Xens his reviewing of report written by various Superintending Engineers he intentionally diluted the gradation to the maximum possible.

The Engineers unanimously resolved that they will observe a complete social boycott with the outgoing General Manager for rest of the period for his alleged attempt to spoil the career of engineers for considerations other then work.

The engineers also condemned the behavior of persons involved in thrashing out the Amarjit Singh Add. S. E. West Amritsar who conducted raids on the commercial establishments and residences of influential persons to check theft of power.
