These days consumers who are to pay electricity bills have just one or two ways of making payment to the department. I think some thing can be done to make it easier for consumers.PSEB should also think of following ways to collect bill payment.
1.We should connect all PSEB cash counters through networking. By doing so it would be possible for any consumer to pay his bills at any one of counters which suits him instead of specially going to Sub Division for the same. This is definitely going to save time of the consumer and consumer would be more than ready to make payment.Moreover i think we would be achieving higher efficiency with the existing staff itself.
2.These days every body is using credit cards or debit cards.PSEB should allow payment of bills through these consumer friendly means.
3.PSEB should allow consumers to make direct payment towards PSEB account at Nationalized banks/post offices which are on the computer network.Or ways and means could be found out to interconnect PSEB system with those of banks/Post offices such that payments are directly accrued to PSEB account.
4.PSEB can also open a channel of making on-line payment as the method is already in vogue for many day to day
activities/services.
5.Billing could also be done through E-mail.

By doing so we can achieve more efficiency in revenue collection.It will also help in going a long way in revolutionizing the bill collection/payment.
