A delegation led by the President met Chief Secretary today, alongside Secretary Power Dr. Basant Garg, IAS, to discuss critical challenges facing the state's power sector.

While the Chief Secretary praised the association's historic role in the development of state power sector and urged engineers to continue to collaborate on effective solutions, necessary instructions were passed to the power department to address the urgent concerns of the engineers.

The President appreciated the Chief Secretary's proactive approach and for granting an urgent audiance to the delegation.

Delegation of Association met Sh. Showkat Ahmad Parray IAS, Special Secy /Finance regarding correction in starting scale of AEs and anomaly in payscales of AEs promoted from APA/JE. Detailed discussion held on the issues, and He has assured to resolve both the issues in the tomorrow's meeting.

Further, the issue also brought out in the knowledge of Hon'ble Finance Minister S. Harpal Singh Cheema.

Today, a delegation of PSEB Engineers Association met the Hon’ble Finance Minister of Punjab in the presence of CMD/ PSPCL cum Secy. Power regarding the issue of starting scale of AE.
The matter was explained at length. The Hon’ble Finance Minister has assured that the matter shall be considered on priority by the Finance Department.
A positive outcome on AE start scale is expected soon.
